UF 150th Anniversary Logo New GatorLink Password Requirements

You will use your GatorLink username and password to access information and perform daily work in the myUFL systems. As a result, the university has developed a strong GatorLink password policy, which was effective May 5.

How frequently your password must be changed depends on your security level. An employee with a high degree of access to the new systems may need to change his or her password every three months, but most employees will fall into a category that requires a password change every six months or once per year. Your GatorLink username and password will enable you to access sensitive information about yourself, and much of the work you complete through the new systems will be associated with your UFID. You will be responsible for any transactions connected to your UFID, so it.s important for security purposes that you not share your password with anyone.

Passwords will remain a minimum of eight characters, and under the new policy, must use three of the following four elements: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, or punctuation.
