GatorLink mail ends when you leave UF. If you have recently left the university by graduating, dropping out, transferring, resigning or retiring, it is best to back up all mail within your Gatorlink mailbox and let senders know another email address at which you can be reached.
- Following each graduation, the University will disable those mailboxes belonging to graduated or otherwise departed individuals and discard any messages which may still be in them.
- After the first audit, the user will retain access to their Gatorlink account although their email is gone. At this point, the user will still have the ability to set email forwarding on their account so that they don't lose any future messages.
- Following this, the university will run an additional audit which disables the inactive accounts completely. This includes mailbox (if it is still available), web space, and access to secure University web sites.
If you have any further questions regarding your account please contact the UF Computing Help Desk at (352) 392-HELP or email helpdesk@ufl.edu.
