Can you afford a dedicated, controlled-environment machine-room? Yes you can, if you use ours!
As part of the CNS Hosting Service the Open Systems Group provides several offerings to help meet your project needs. With our server hosting services, CNS owns and is responsible for the hardware and software platform. That includes the server(s), network, devices, operating system and application infrastructure components, providing a stable operating environment for your applications. Your IT organization only needs to manage your applications.
Our server hosting services provide more value than co-location because it frees more of your IT personnel from mundane infrastructure-related tasks. Your people can now focus on understanding and supporting your business processes more effectively. Moreover, our server hosting services are more responsive than fully-outsourced solutions because you remain in full control of your applications.
Server Hosting Options
- Fully Managed Hosting: You buy the hardware. We locate it in our datacenter and manage the hardware, operating system, and application infrastructure.
- Dedicated Server Hosting: Similar to "Fully Managed Hosting" above; however, we own the hardware and essentially lease it to you.
- Virtual Server Hosting: We will provide virtual server resources in our existing infrastructure for your project. We manage everything up through the OS and application infrastructure.
Pricing for service hosting is customer-specific. Contact us at open-systems-l@lists.ufl.edu to discuss pricing based on your needs.
In addition to the managed server hosting, virtual web hosting (with Apache or Microsoft IIS web environments) and database servers for MS SQL Enterprise and MySQL are available at very competitive prices. The Apache environment is available at $10/month and IIS at $15/month. The MySQL service includes 5G of space for your database at $20/month. The MS SQL enterprise service also includes 5G of space for $100/month.
CNS has been serving the computing and networking needs of higher education and government in north Florida since its founding as the UF Statistical Center in 1956. Throughout all those years we have stayed continually at the forefront of information technology. But even while keeping pace with IT's rapid evolution, we have developed and maintained careful sets of standards and best practices to ensure that technological advances do not disrupt the continuity of service upon which our clients have come to depend.
With CNS, you get the best of both: the most advanced technology, and the proven, time-tested track record of a well-established data center. Get all the details at http://docs.osg.ufl.edu/hosting.
