UF Exchange is a consolidated email and mobile device messaging service based on Microsoft Exchange which was launched over Martin Luther King weekend. UF Exchange is currently in Phase I, which migrates participating units from Federated Exchange on departmental Exchange 2003 servers to a central Exchange 2007 server. These migrations continue every other week through April 2008. Current local email addresses are preserved. The service is authenticated by GatorLink.

All UF Exchange users have calendar access, improved spam control, to do lists, reminders, and other features offered by the Microsoft Exchange environment. Services are web accessible, accessible from standard desktop clients such as Outlook on Windows, Macs and other computers and accessible from mobile devices.

Participating units in Phase I are Academic Affairs - Provost Office, University Registrar, College of Fine Arts, Harn Museum, Division of Continuing Education, Research and Graduate Programs, Center of Excellence for Regenerative Health Biotechnology, College of Medicine Financial Services, IFAS, OIT Computing and Networking Services and OIT Academic Technology.

The Outlook Web Access interface to check UF Exchange e-mail is on the UF Exchange web site at http://www.mail.ufl.edu . The site also contains service and policy questions and answers, the migration schedule, alerts and information for Exchange users and supporting technical staff.
